in chronological order:
-Rob and I stayed with our same homestay as last year, and that family is phenomenal, the dad in that family may be one of my favorite people ever.
-Fun little workshop with the East Lyme Concert Choir, they did the Mozart Lacrymosa and it was great.
-Mafia game that Brett sufficiently ruined.
-Legit workshop, East Lyme has got some talented and smart kids. Like, for realz.
-Rehearsal, dinner, set up, sound check (which was insanely funny)
-AWESOME first concert in East Lyme, the crowd was nuts, they got a ton of merchandise, it was just great.
-Cold Stone, staying up and talking with our home-stay dad for a while and him being awesome.
-3 hour drive to germantown today
-Workshop with all of the chorus kids, singing for teachers, mini-rehearsal, we changed a couple things in a couple of songs, it was definitely for the better, and it showed in our set.
-I finally ate the rest of my birthday cake with some of the guys. My lips were blue, I said I made out with a na’vi from avatar. andy made fun of me efficiently.
-Another awesome concert. It was fun performing for Germantown, going from a school that we see every year to a school that has never seen us (or apparently anything like us) before. Personally, I go in with a bit of a different goal in mind, but still try and give each as much energy as possible.
We really stepped it up tonight, considering we’re all drained.
OH and so we just drove 3 hours from germantown to horsham, I just got into Jimmy’s mansion, stopped at mcdonalds, and with an hour left, Jordan and I switched drivers with like an hour left. Chris Miranda’s car is following us, trying to get gas. So, in a new car, trying to find gas, and trying to make a left turn, Jordan was driving slowly in the left lane. So he got pulled over. The cop came on over, flashlight on, asking ‘what the hell we’re doing’ driving slowly in the fast lane. He then had Jordan get out of the car, patted him down, asked if we had narcotics in the car, said he would have the dog sniff out the car. We of course have about 8 huge, packed bags in the car of luggage.
Long and short of it is, we’re an a cappella group on tour. We had no drugs. We were leading people.
So tomorrow is a free day, some of us are going to Dave and Buster’s. I’m pretty pumped about that. Daria, I hope you’re enjoying this, since I don’t think anyone’s reading this. If anyone else is, e-mail me so I know, and will maybe update more. dgrossman17@me.com
Joe’s going to post something tomorrow, my apologies for being scarce, I don’t like posting or taking pictures when we’re doing important things, like, you know.. music. Or eating.
