We’re ACTUALLY in LA! This is exciting! It’s actually kind of surreal, at least for the board. We’ve been talking about this since April, and it’s crazy that it’s actually happening now.
So after a morning of waking up at 4, out the door at 5 (or 5:10..) and listening to Breakdown! on the ride there, per Mr. Knowles’s choice, we got to Newark airport and everything went unbelievably smoothly. Too smoothly. Jimmy was freaking out a bit, because something HAD to go wrong, and then while we were on the tarmac, we found out another plane had to make an emergency landing, so we were delayed an hour. Not so bad, i’ll go with it.
After a fairly painless 5 hour flight with tv’s in the seats and a crying baby that I outwardly hoped they would serve for breakfast, we landed in LAX.
NOTE: You CAN NOT SEE the Hollywood sign on the right when you leave LAX
NOTE: Not everyone here seems all that famous.
We got the rental cars, and luckily I got a Toyota Sienna, which I’m used to driving since my dad has one. We went to In N Out burger for lunch and it was FANTASTIC. It reminds me of Big Kahuna Burger, the fictional burger joint referenced in Pulp Fiction, so that makes me happy.
Now we’re at the hotel, showering and soon having a meeting so that everyone knows what’s going on this week. Tonight we’re going to PF Changs! Because clearly, when you come to LA, the best place to go is a chain chinese restaurant.
More later! and some pictures!
